At 03:39 on the morning of February 6, 2023, a strong earthquake of magnitude 7.9 struck Syria and Turkey, causing many thousands of deaths, injuries and missing, and countless collapses of homes and structures.
The Emergency Coordination of the Focolare Movement has launched an extraordinary fundraising campaign through AMU and AFN . The donations will be managed jointly by AMU and AFN to provide the populations affected by the earthquake with basic necessities for food, medical care, housing, heating and hospitality in various cities of the two countries: in Syria in the provinces of Aleppo, Latakia, Hama and in the Turkish province of Iskenderun. Also in collaboration with the local Churches.
