Living Peace International is a peace education program aimed at teachers, educators, children and young people of all school levels and youth groups. To date, more than a thousand schools and groups are involved in the project and more than a million children and young people have been reached by its initiatives in the 5 continents.
THE DIE OF PEACE The Living Peace International project is based on the throwing of the DIE of PEACE , on whose faces there are no numbers, but phrases that help build peaceful relationships among everyone . Generally, the die is thrown every morning or with a different frequency: everyone, big or small, commits to being a protagonist in putting the phrase into practice. It is inspired by the points of “The art of loving” that years before Chiara Lubich had proposed, with a die, to the children of the Focolare Movement. Every reality is different, as are the culture, the religion of belonging and the age of the participants. The model of the die that is proposed can therefore be changed and personalized as long as it always stimulates to concretely live peace.

THE TIME OUT What is it? Time Out is an appointment to stop, every day at 12, for a minute of silence, reflection and prayer for peace. Where? You can practice Time Out anywhere and it is an appointment that unites the whole world, at 12 (noon) depending on each time zone. Who? Time Out can be practiced by everyone. Today there are many schools that do it every day since they joined the Living Peace project. Why? At the beginning of the Gulf War (1990-91) Chiara Lubich, founder of the Focolare Movement, proposed this action to make all those who believed and worked for peace feel united in a world where wars never seemed to end. Even today, this commitment is an opportunity to connect people from all over the world who work to build peace or who inspire others to live and work for this goal.
LIVING PEACE INTERNATIONAL IS PRESENT IN 150 COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD
