The Economy of Communion has been collaborating with AMU for years on development projects that, through work, restore dignity to people in conditions of social and economic vulnerability.
PROJECTS REPORT 2023 AMU-EdC
Thanks to the support of the EdC, AMU carries out projects for the start-up and consolidation of productive activities with a high social impact, which create new employment and income for people in conditions of social and economic vulnerability. In this way, those who would otherwise depend on external help have the opportunity to improve and enhance their work skills, earning the right compensation to live with dignity through their work. To achieve these objectives, AMU does not have expatriate staff, but operates through partnerships with local associations. This allows for in-depth knowledge of the context, cultural and historical aspects, in order to evaluate and understand the real needs of the community and the territory, promoting the future sustainability of the project. Where it is present, the projects are carried out together with the local commission or the local association of the EdC. In any case, all the counterparts with whom AMU operates share the same ideals and values.
